Zen Word of Doom ("the app") is developed by sauhsoj (Joshua Samuel). This policy describes what data the app collects, why, and how it's handled.
Zen Word of Doom does not require an account, does not collect your name, email, or any personal profile, and does not run its own servers. Almost everything about your progress stays on your device. The only data leaving your device is what's necessary for optional voice input (processed on-device only), for showing ads after the first level pack (if you haven't purchased the ad-removal option), and for processing purchases (handled entirely by Apple).
The app saves your progress locally (not on any server):
This data is not linked to your identity, is not sent to us, and is deleted if you delete the app.
If you enable voice input, the app uses Apple's on-device Speech framework to turn your spoken words into game guesses. Audio is processed entirely on your device and is never recorded, stored, or uploaded — to us or to Apple. You can deny microphone/speech permission and still play using tap or swipe input.
After the first level pack, free players see ads between levels, supplied by Google AdMob. You can remove ads permanently with a one-time in-app purchase at any point.
In-app purchases (the ad-removal unlock and serenity currency packs) are processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We never see your payment details — only that a purchase completed, which the app uses to unlock the corresponding content.
Zen Word of Doom is rated for ages 12+ due to mild horror themes and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
The only third parties involved are:
We do not sell your data, and we do not operate any analytics, tracking, or advertising infrastructure of our own.
If this policy changes, the effective date above will be updated. Material changes will be reflected in the app's release notes.
